Maker Therapy: Marketing Woes
Let’s face it: the everyday hustle is hard, especially when we feel like we need to DIY all the time. Come take a load off, meet our marketing mavens, and benefit from one-on-one and small group discussions in a magical blend of social and professional chatter.
Topics might include traditional marketing channels, reaching new audiences, honing your elevator pitch, evaluating your branding, and more!
Maker Therapy is an evening designed to help you kick back with your peers and celebrate how awesome you are, while hearing from some experts that can help you stay on the road to success as a creative entrepreneur.
Who Should Attend?
Makers are independent creative entrepreneurs—the workhorses of the creative economy. You may be a designer, an artist, a coffee roaster, or an app developer, or anywhere in between, but you’re in business for yourself and either work alone or with a small group of people.
If you make something for a living that involves your creative mojo, you might be surprised how refreshing it can be to meet other makers face to face and have a good old-fashioned conversation.
Meet the “Therapists”
Kristen Gallagher is the founder of Edify, a consultancy that designs and builds learning experiences that people actually learn from and like. She brings over eight years of instructional design, marketing, event management, business development, and nonprofit education experience to Edify. Effective, efficient and well marketed programs, events, and strategies make her heart sing!
Cory Huff founded TheAbundantArtist.com, where for the last five years, he has taught artists how to dispel the myth of the starving artist by learning to sell their work online. His book, The Abundant Artist: How to Sell Art Online and Live a Creative Life on Your Own Terms will be published by Harper Collins in Summer 2016.
